Deception Bay - Chris Patchell

Loved this book (it's also featured on iBooks book Love Under Fire - 21 Volume Romantic Suspense Collection)

5.0 out of 5 stars

I thought about Deception Bay long after I finished reading it.

Deception Bay is definitely a must read even if you're not into romance it's not just romance it has a love, action, mystery and romance and a slight bit of comedy. Patchell does a wonderful job introducing characters and then later seeing them in the story and melt your heart. This book is a must read and maybe a few more times after that. Austin the main character in the story surely pulls you in and hold your heart deep you keep wanting to hear more and more about Austin where he's from what he's about and most of all what he's looking for.

100 Days of Thanks

Good afternoon,
I've looked at this book for the third time with intention of purchasing it, and I did. The other book I wanted took me well over a year to buy. I need some positive spirit in my life and yes books help me. They really do. Some of my friends and family don't seem to be all about this kind of "self-therapy" if you will but I feel it's necessary to me and it's something that I want to do and that's all that matters. Yes I could post this on social media but then I thought why, this is for me and for me to share only with those I choose. That's where my blog comes into play and I need to get back into that and get the positive forward motion going for me! So there you have it. Maybe lol this will be my last book purchase of 2018, I think it should be. I have a book on order by Rachael Hollis for March 2019, and I can re read her book and put that into play too. So peace love and happiness to you and yours! Heather

2018! Where did that go?

Hi, good morning it’s been so long since I’ve posted on here, I can’t believe it.  I’ve been trying to just read and do. It’s been a busy year. Last November 2017 I had hand surgery and then, in January 2018 I started substituting in the local schools. I’ve been busy but also still reading as much as possible, whenever possible, and I still feel like I haven’t read enough, but my kindle helped me a lot when I was unable to hold a real book for three months. But all is well and back to normal again with the hand/wrist surgery. So here are the books I read for 2018 in order.

The Woman in Cabin 10 - Ruth Ware - LOVED THIS BOOK! AMAZING READ

Manhunt (Michael Bennett #10.5) Bookshot - James Patterson - Love Michael Bennett everything

Nine Things Successful People Do Differently - Heidi Grand Halvorson (Audio)

The Girl Who Lived - Christopher Greyson - Kindle LOVED THIS!!!!!! EXCELLENT READ

The Grand Finale - Janet Evanovich - LOVED THIS ROMANCE!

T - is for Transformation - Shawn T. - EXCELLENT READ INTERESTING

Love Overboard - Janet Evanovich - Cute Romance book

You Can Heal Your Life - Louise L. Hay

The People vs. Alex Cross (#25) - James Patterson - EXCELLENT LOVE ALEX CROSS

The Self-Love Experiment: Fifteen Principles for Becoming More Kind, Compasionate, and Accepting of Yourself - Shannon Kaiser

(WOW, loved this book and picked it up only because I wanted something interesting to read and I was needing some serious!!!!!!!, SELF LOVE, I found it and my thoughts have changed a lot, I took a lot of notes from it and must read it again, it is a must have actual book to keep in your hands and your library! GET IT! PERIOD and read it and soak it all in.)

Find Out Who’s Normal and Who’s Not - David J. Lieberman - short Audiobook at the Gym, interesting

Never Be Lied to Again: How to Get the Truth in 5 minutes or Less in Any Conversation or
Situation- David J Lieberman - short Audiobook at the Gym

Vow of Silence (The Jill Shannon Murders Series Book 2) - Chris Patchell - Kindle (MUST READ ALL OF HER BOOKS! EXCELLENT, and she’s a great person too )

Girl, Wash Your Face: Stop Believing the Lies about Who You Are So You Can Become Who You Were Meant To Be - Rachel Hollis - Audiobook and Book (Again another must read, I only picked up this book because several of my friends were reading or listening to it. I was hooked immediately and picked up the book too. I kept listening and reading right to the end and must re read it again, and follow the lists of what and how to make life better, it is so easy to just get out there and read a book and then forget about what you read or the tips and tricks that you learn along the way.) I think a lot of us do this but I know that I do.

The Outsider - Stephen King! BOOK WOW AMAZING, and it was a big fat book too and I read it so quickly a first for me on a Stephen King book, I had to find out how it ended a for sure read again book LOVED IT! WOW! Plus I have never read a King book right when it was released so I had to read it.

Unfu*k Yourself: Get Out of Your Head and Into Your Life - Gary John Bishop - Audiobook - He’s Scottish too so it was a great listen.

The 17th Suspect (Women’s Murder Club) - James Patterson

Minimalist Living - Genevieve Parker Hill - Kindle

Bring Me Back - B.A. Paris - LOVED LOVED LOVED, A HAVE TO READ!!!!!!!

Elevation - Stephen King- Book (very good)

Get Your Sh*t Together - Sarah Knight - Book/ Audiobook (2nd Time Reading)

Idiot’s Guide Organizing Your Life - Cindy Aldred - Kindle - Curious :)

So there you have it and the year isn’t over yet. 22 of 24 books read/listened to so far for 2018!

The Woman in Cabin 10 - Ruth Ware

GREAT TWISTS & TURNS AND THEN WONDERING WHAT WAS NEXT! This was a great book, I had started it last year and then couldn’t get into it. It’s a little slow going in the beginning until you get to about page 85, then the book really takes off. I was reading and reading and excited to see what was going to happen next. I was confused a few times because some “articles” that were in the book and the dates didn’t feel like they coincided with the books timeline. It just made it that more interesting and made me think and read more. Great book, I would definitely read this one again and recommend to friends.

The Breakdown by B.A. Paris

The BreakdownThe Breakdown by B.A. Paris
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Where do I begin? Where should I end? Should I even bother writing this review? You wouldn't believe me if I told you anyway... or would you? hummmm.... I don't want to write the same old review that this was amazing and I didn't expect it to be as it was but it was. I could go on and on about this book but I seriously hate it when people write spoilers!! JUST READ IT!!! PROMISE?

It's always the husband - By Campell

It's always the husband, or is it?!

Well you will have to read this to find out. I will say it was a little slow going at first, lots and lots of details and three characters to start who, you learn about along the way....at about page 60 the book took off and I just kept reading, great book, great story line, takes place mainly  in NH & NY.

I loved how I got to know the people and felt like I was there, this is a true, drama, mystery, and suspense right to the verrrry end.

The last day of reading I couldn't put it down, I don't want to spoil it for you but it's worth the read even if it takes you a little bit longer.  I miss the characters as well.

I chose this book over the title and the cover as well as all the author endorsements on the back of the book, that pretty much sealed the deal. Very good book and then some.

Happy reading, Heather

I gave this book a solid 5 STARS!
After reading IN THE DARK not to long ago and then reading DARK HARVEST, I felt that this book flowed so smoothly from the first book, there weren't any gaps or confusions, I just kept reading uninterrupted. Patchell's writing has excelled exponentially, I'm looking forward to reading more from Patchell, she truly writes like a true author!! Even though the story is "dark" it was written with passion, flare, and pure enthusiasm and no detail was left out. There were parts in the book that just kept me on edge waiting to see what was going to happen next, the anticipation of some of the scenes were gripping in so many ways. I LOVED IT! I could go on and on, but trust me....read IN THE DARK!
