The Next Accident by Lisa Gardner

The Next Accident The Next Accident by Lisa Gardner

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
PHENOMENAL! This book kept me on my toes every step of the way. I thought I truly knew who that bad guy was going to be and I was DEAD WRONG! It was a great book. The characters just grew all on their own. Quincy and Rainie are perfect! Lisa Gardner out did herself on this book. I kept wanting more! I loved that she explains everything at the end. Who went where, who was who and why everything happened. There were no open wounds to wonder about and never have the answer for.

AWESOME PERFECT WORK OF ART!

Dearly Devoted Dexter by Jeff Lindsay

Dearly Devoted Dexter (Dexter, #2) Dearly Devoted Dexter by Jeff Lindsay

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Lindsay is an awesome writer. The end of the book was great! I even laughed. This series is great. The hunt for the bad guy was perfect and all the characters are very well characterized. I can't wait to read the 3rd book. I watched the first season on TV and loved it. It really helped me see the characters for who they really were when I read the book. It was a great read, completely worth it. The story kept you wondering what would happen next and then hoping somethings would not happen. :) :)

The Third Victim by Lisa Gardner

The Third Victim The Third Victim by Lisa Gardner

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I know I wow alot of books but this one just popped right out from the start. I couldn't put the book down from page 2 on. Everything in this book by Lisa Gardner grabs you and holds you right up to the very last sentence of the book. There were lots of twists, and questions within the whole story. I loved all of the characters and they were all written perfectly. I only got confused once but then it was all figured out for me come the end of the book. This book is a heart stopper and it keeps you reading from the get-go! I really love Lisa Gardner books and I can't wait to start the next one! Keep on reading and enjoy!

House of Bones by Graham Masterton

House of Bones House of Bones by Graham Masterton

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This book, GRABS you and pulls you right in on the first page. This was a quick fast paced read. I had it done in 3 days and loved all of it. It is mysterious from every angle, lots of facts from the past and just things to really make you think. Wow could this REALLY HAPPEN? What a fantastic read. I gave this 5 stars for its story line, for its excellent writing, and holding my attention for the whole book! I loved that when someone in the book told someone else about what had already happened that the author didn't write what already happened yet again. I have seen that in alot of books and this author says it all perfectly. There were just enough characters and a ton of SPARKS!!! A must read. This was my second book to read from this author and I loved the first "WALKERS" I just picked up "SWIMMER" by the same author. Look out! Keep reading!

Shadows Still Remain - Peter de Jonge

Shadows Still Remain: A Novel Shadows Still Remain: A Novel by Peter de Jonge

My rating: 2 of 5 stars
This wasn't one of my favorite books at all. It was very slow going. It got going about page 50. I didn't like how the author used so many names and said when he was thinking something all the time. The story was interesting but it didn't keep my interest. It isn't very often that I rate a book a ** Star but, I really couldn't stay interested in this book. Heather

Edwurd Fudwupper Fibbed Big Edwurd Fudwupper Fibbed Big by Berkeley Breathed

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Our son picked this book out... I think he liked the pictures. It is a great book that teaches about lies and what happens when you tell a lie or a fib. It shows how big it can grow and what can become of it in a great way for children to understand. The book is also written in a poetic format. It really rolls and keeps the kids attention, we also talked about what really happened in the middle of the book to make sure they knew what was going on and keeping them on track. Great book. I would like to read this one again!

Mrs. Watson Wants Your Teeth by Alison McGhee

Mrs. Watson Wants Your Teeth Mrs. Watson Wants Your Teeth by Alison McGhee

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is such a great book to the first one "Countdown to Kindergarten". This book talks about a girl going into 1st grade that is told roamers about the teachers that of course aren't true. It is very cute and a must read if you are losing those baby teeth! I'm glad our daughter picked out this book. She really enjoyed it and the first book in the series as well. This book is written in a comic bubble form which makes for fast fun reading.

Swimsuit Swimsuit by James Patterson

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
WOW! I know I say this about alot of James Patterson books but this one takes the cake for sure. I had my nose in the book for hours. I got the book out from the library and I had 7 days to read it. I read it in 5 days. It was outstanding. The book just kept you on your seat. You could visualize everything going on. I don't want to wreck anything for you by reading my review but this is a must read. I thought the ending was perfect and that the book was complete. Extremely well written. I would like to see a sequel to this book but I don't see that happening. I really felt like I was in the story along for the ride! A MUST READ!!!! Now one of my new favorites!

In Praise of Stay-at-Home Moms by Laura C. Schlessinger

In Praise of Stay-at-Home Moms In Praise of Stay-at-Home Moms by Laura C. Schlessinger

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This was my first book of Dr Laura's to read. It was very good! It was extremely inspirational! I so wish I had this book back when I started being a Stay at Home Mom. I know that it would have helped me in more ways that I can put into words. Read this book! If you were, are, or going to be a stay at home mom. This book is great for everyone. It is a feel good book about being a MOM! And all the things in between! I feel like a better mom already just reading this book and opening my eyes to what I should see more of in myself, and what should be expected of and from me, not only from our kids but from my husband as well. Hugs, Heather

The Other Daughter - Gardner

The Other Daughter The Other Daughter by Lisa Gardner

My review

I finished the Other Daughter by Lisa Gardner, very twisty and turny but a good interesting read. The Perfect Husband was alot better but it was a good read. I got confused about names in the book often other than that it was a great read.

This book was fantastic. This is my second time reading this. I read it back in 2005 it was good then but better now. :) This book teaches you how to be a better person to yourself mainly and to others in the long run. I think everyone should read this book!

New Moon - Meyer

New Moon (Twilight, #2) New Moon by Stephenie Meyer

My review

rating: 5 of 5 stars
I loved this book! The first book in the series Twilight was the best so far. I really enjoyed how New Moon began. The beginning middle and end were very well written. The story line was great! I love the anticipation of everything in these books. I don't like how Meyer uses alot of the same words alot like "grimaced - shuttered" and there are some other ones. That was the only thing in the book that I didn't like. Other than that the book was perfect and I'm very anxious to read the next two books in the series. These books are geared towards 10-12 year olds. I'm far from that age and I love the book. Everything is written with lots of color and inspiration! Everything is very visual to me and I feel like I'm right then in the story. I love it! Keep reading! Enjoy new authors and write reviews. Hugs, Heather

The Perfect Husband The Perfect Husband by Lisa Gardner

My review

rating: 5 of 5 stars
I absolutely loved this whole book. It was great the whole thing. I felt like I knew the characters when it came to the end. The end ended perfectly like I thought it might but with a twist. This is the first book in the series and I already have the other books lined up to read. (thanks to ebay) Lisa Gardner is brilliant in her writing! I just could go on and on. This is an AWESOME BOOK! READ IT!

MAX is back - James Patterson

MAX (Maximum Ride, Book 5) MAX by James Patterson

My review

rating: 4 of 5 stars
We'll this is my first book for April completed! Once again a Patterson book. I really enjoyed this book. It had alot of fill ins from other books which was okay but I think it took away from the book. I know most people that read series try to read all the books. I think the book could of had alot more in it, if it wasn't filled in from past books. I think it was great to find out new things about Max and the gang. I would recommend reading the book if you want to stay up to date on the series. I liked it. I really enjoyed the first 3 books in the series the most. The 2nd was my fav of them all. I know I'm getting off beat here but I want to say how I feel about this book. The story line was okay. I think Final Warning was a much more EXCITING book compared to this one. However I gave this book 4 stars. I could have used alot more excitment like the other 4 books.

Happy Reading! Heather

Twilight (The Twilight Saga, Book 1) Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

My review

rating: 5 of 5 stars
This was one of the best and well written books that I have read in a long time! I would recommend it to anyone. I do think however it is written more for females but I feel it would be a good read for anyone. There is alot of talking in the book and just normal life but it is perfectly written. I haven't been this happy about reading a book like this since I read Honeymoon by Patterson in 2005. This is how much I loved this book! What else can I say! A perfect read! I WANT MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! - Patterson

Run for Your Life Run for Your Life by James Patterson

My review

rating: 3 of 5 stars
This book was good, it kept me interested but it was nothing like Step on a Crack, I really enjoyed the first book to this series. I wouldn't say don't read it but I wouldn't say run out and get it either. Take your time and read it when you get a chance. I do like the characters in this book. Happy Reading! Sorry I can't give more of a review. It was good but not exciting in a way that I HAVE TO KNOW what is going to happen next kind of book.

Thanks!

I got SMITTEN! Evanovich

Smitten Smitten by Janet Evanovich

My review

rating: 4 of 5 stars
First off, this book was great from the start! I know I sound like a broken record but Evanovich's books are really good! I could totally relate to Liz and how she felt. I liked how she was on her own and doing the best she could, she was strong and independent yet wanting that real MAN in her life! Matt....well he's a god sent. I loved his tenderness and loving towards Liz right off the bat. He was just sweet from day one. I liked how he was sweet yet persistent. He knew what he wanted and he kept on it but not in a totally annoying way. :) He was a great father figure and down to earth person. I could relate to this book completely! I think this book helped me get my wings too!

Back to the Bedroom - Evanovich

Back to the Bedroom Back to the Bedroom by Janet Evanovich

My review

rating: 4 of 5 stars
I really liked this book. It was more than just romance it was also about respect, understanding and relaxing. I found it interesting how Kate learned who she was and what her purpose was. I liked how she learned what LOVE really was. She was in a past relationship and she thought that there were other reasons why she was no longer with him. But LOVE had alot to do with it. This book made me laugh alot. It made me think. Oh and I wanted more.... it had a great beginning that kept me reading and throughout the book as well. The end, well it ended perfectly. This was a great quick read. Enjoy! Heather
